My first period came really late.
All the other girls were already talking about it,
so I pretended...
I carried pads, acted like I had cramps…
just to fit in.
Then one day, at 15, it finally came.
And I was relieved.
I didn’t have to pretend anymore.
On average, menarche typically starts between 10-15, and may start even earlier or later. And that’s okay.
There is nothing wrong with being late.
Everyone’s body has its own rhythm.
So if yours hasn’t come yet,
don’t worry.
Don’t rush.
You’re right on time — your own time.
